2025 is shaping up to be a huge year for the Kelowna Paddle Centre. We've got a lot of great programs and events planned (including the return of the Waterman festival), summer camps are expected to be bigger than ever, and construction of the updated KPC campus is starting.
The New KPC Campus
Did you know that we are planning to upgrade the Kelowna Paddle Centre? Construction on the campus is planned to ramp up next fall and be ready in time for the 2026 season.
Fundraising Update
We will soon start collecting donations for the new campus construction. Our goal is to raise $800K in donations and sponsorships so your contributions and support will be very important.
A dedicated but smallgroup of volunteers is supporting our fundraising campaign and we need more help. If you're interested in volunteering too, please text Fraser at 778 779 3142.
With the centre quiet over the winter, we have lots of time to prepare for next season. That includes:
Discussions with the City of Kelowna to plan for the new campus.
Grant applications for new coach development and other programs.
Maintenance and repairs, including restoring a number of SUPs.
Fundraising! We are hoping to talk to every member about the new campus, are doing corporate outreach, and have events planned. Please keep an eye out for updates and support the campaign however you can.
2024 had a lot of highlights for KPC, including Hilo and Nationals, our largest summer camps ever, and welcoming a lot of new faces. Sport across the Okanagan is being celebrated soon at the 2025 Community Sport Hero Awards...
